Today I Met A Suburban On My Bike

December 1st, 2025

Dear Family and Friends,

Proverbs 21:31 “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.”

For those who didn’t hear, I was riding a bike in Florida and I slammed hard into a Suburban that didn’t see me while it was pulling into a sports complex parking lot. In a moment, my life flashed before my eyes. This incident became an instant “praise God and comfort one another” moment. There’s so much to the story that I wish I could tell in this update, but while I was cleaning up from the incident and singing songs about the goodness of God, God brought these words to mind: “Today I Met a Suburban“ which has become my simple testimony of gratitude from a moment where everything could have been a lot different. Here’s the overview of that thought, “Today I Met a Suburban.” (Picture below)

Today, I met a suburban while on a bike.

Because I met the suburban, I met the sweet driver of the vehicle. We rejoiced, we prayed, we hugged, and we gave God the praise again.

Because I met the suburban, I met three of Hammock Bay’s fine workers who were diligent to their jobs…even if it meant hanging around to make sure I was okay and the incident was seen all the way through.

Because I met the suburban, I met one of Walton County’s finest—the sheriff on duty. He did a great job.

Because I met the suburban, I met three fantastic EMTs who were so diligent to care for my needs.

Because I met the suburban, I met the state trooper on duty who needed to see the scene to a close. I’m grateful for his service.

Because I met the suburban, I am grateful for another day of life, because today could’ve been the day I met my Maker.

To God be all the glory and to Him be all the praise!

If you don’t know my Jesus, let me introduce Him to you. He gave His blood on the cross of Calvary to redeem me from my sins, and when I called upon Him He saved me and set me free eternally.

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

Thank You, God, for Your watch care over my life, but thank You even more for forgiving me of my sins and saving my unworthy soul.

Proverbs 21:31 “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.”

If you’re curious, I felt God’s protection all over the incident and over my body. My body is currently doing very well and we’ll see if any pain arises. Through it all, God is good!

This incident was November 18th, and to date there has been no bruising or any other issues concerning my body. All glory to God!

Other praises since our last update:

  • God has added 6 events to the schedule. Of the 6 events added to the schedule, 2 of them are “new to us” churches!

  • God led Narcoossee Baptist Church in Florida to start giving monthly support to our ministry. This church supported us when we traveled in E1 and now that we are in E2 (Evangelism the second time) they have begun support again. We are extremely grateful for their generous giving.

  • God has blessed us with random, “out of the blue” love offerings along with our normal monthly support and love offerings from churches. Each gift is a huge blessing to help us as we move forward with what God has led us to do —especially through 2025– which has been an extremely trying year with health and finances. Every gift is gracious and certainly timely and helpful. Our current monthly support level is at 47%…praise the Lord and a BIG THANK YOU to all our supporters.

Please pray for our health and endurance as we continue to fulfill the following ministry schedule this fall:

  • December 7 | La Salle, Illinois (Sunday Morning)

  • January 4, 11, 18 | Rochelle, Illinois (Pulpit Supply)

  • January 21-25 | San Diego, California (Revival)

Thank you for your sincere prayers, love and support…God bless you all!
