A World Missions Revival is important because it brings us to REFOCUS on the most important command of Jesus Christ for our present day. The saying goes, "Jesus'  last   command  should be our  first   concern ."   Simple, but powerful, huh!? The verses that state this truth are found in Matthew's Gospel: Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of

FOCUS ON THE ENDGAME

The following questions arise in my mind as I think about the endgame this morning: 1. What is the endgame of sin?, 2. What is the endgame of the Saviour?, and 3. What will the endgame of my life be? Before I expound in a simple manner, let's establish this about the endgame.  GOD IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF ALL THINGS. I MUST KNOW WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, AND I MUST REACT ACCORDINGLY. PRESENT CHANGES WILL BE REQUIRED AS WE FOCUS ON THE ENDGAME. Let's begin. I. What is the endgame of sin?  James 1:14-16  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Sin is developed within. Sin distracts

After Sunday, There's Monday!

I'm not sure how you feel, but, after being so challenged and encouraged on Sunday, I'm ready to take  on Monday at "full steam ahead" for the glory of God! Without Christ and without following His divine way, IT CAN BE EXTREMELY EASY to fall into the category of hating your "average way life," as you may call it. You can get tired of life. You can get tired of yourself. You can get tired of work. You can get tired of others. You can even get tired of church! But, as we look " into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. " (James 1:25) We can learn to REST in The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE in such a way that our lives are full of excitement and eager anticipation. WE HAVE SOMETHING AND SOMEONE to live for - Jesus Christ! Upon th

Expectations Ruin Relationships

Expectations Ruin Relationships Expectations Ruin Relationships Evangelist S.M. Davis preached our Spring Revival in April of 2016. He preached a message entitled, "Expectations: The Enemy Of Relations and Gratitude,"   and you can listen to it by clicking the title just given. The whole message was extremely helpful. I certainly recommend that you listen to the entire message, but one of the statements gleaned from Brother Davis' message (which we have utilized much) is, " Expectations Ruin Relationships ." I have been pondering that statement a lot recently. I typically consider this statement when I become expectant of certain things from others, and then reevaluate and recalibrate my thinking. Today has been different. I have asked myself this question, "What can I do to prevent others from having expectations of me so that I'm not at fault for a ruined relationship?" My mind began immediately considering being a father to Lydia Grace. (And t

"ALL IN" for Him!

"ALL IN" for Him! Let's be "ALL IN" for Him in 2018! We are so excited to serve and worship the Lord again this year with you! I can't wait to see how the Lord works this year...who will He save? Who will we see baptized? Who will we see added to the church? What will God do through us for Gospel Missions? and the list goes on and on. I wonder what could be accomplished if I submit to being "All In" for him? I know I'm a vessel to be used for the Lord, but I wonder if He'll use me this year...does He want to use me?? Well, I believe the Lord wants to use us all. So let's first get right with Him, next decide to be "All In" for Him, and then say, Here am I LORD, send ME!!! We have designed a very simple logo for this year's theme, but the invitation set in the design will be demanding, detailed, and, at times, difficult. Serving the Lord isn't always sunshine and roses, but it is rewarding, and, most of all, it is rev
