A Heart For Revival’s Ministry Update

*After the paper newsletter went out, we were so swapped with the remodel that I forgot to send this via email. Thank you for your patience and continued interest in our family and ministry.

Happy New Year, and we trust you had a wonderful Christmas!

The Greater The Need, The Greater The Expense

We are blessed to begin a “season of rest” officially starting January 1st. This has been a step of faith to schedule, but it is proving “worth it” in more ways than one. We are getting rest from the many miles of traveling, but we also have time to invest in the remodeling of our house that was rented out for the past 5 years.

There was a simple reminder that came to my mind during one of my remodeling adventures: “THE GREATER THE NEED, THE GREATER THE EXPENSE—BUT IT’S WORTH EVERY PENNY.” Many of you understand this as you have remodeled, built or rented out before. You can’t “bandaid” a problem and expect it to be resolved. Sometimes you have to go the extra mile than was originally planned to resolve an issue and prepare correctly for the future.

I couldn’t help but consider Christ when I thought of the statement, “THE GREATER THE NEED, THE GREATER THE EXPENSE—BUT IT’S WORTH EVERY PENNY.” My mind went to 1 John 2:2 ”And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” and Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Aren’t you glad that Jesus didn’t “bandaid” our sinful situation, but he completely cared for it by going to the cross and sacrificing His precious life’s blood for each of us. Praise the Lord. In His eyes, each of us are worth every pain and drop of blood that was shed. We are undeserving, but eternally grateful that He loved us so much that He “laid down His life” for us.

We are grateful for the following rejoice points from 2024 (There is no way we can list every rejoice point, but here are a few highlights):

  • In November we had to cancel two back-to-back revivals due to illness. The rejoice point is that the first pastor felt led to send a check to help with expenses even though we couldn’t make it to serve them. The second pastor felt led to encourage his congregation to send individual gifts at random to help our family during the season of sickness. Wow! What a blessing. Gifts continued to come in well into December! Praise the Lord.

  • Though we had supporters who needed to temporarily postpone giving, other supporters and one time gifts increased. Our monthly support level is right around 46%. We praise the Lord for many small and large one-time gifts. The Lord continues to reveal His great ability to provide for us in amazing ways. Thank you for being part of what God is allowing us to do for His glory.

  • We have seen 9 souls come to Christ for salvation. It’s worth every mile and ounce of energy. Bless His Name!

  • Rachel was able to start teaching 2nd grade online with Academy of Excellence. This is another avenue of ministry for her, and it helps our family continue to stay busy on the road in place of needed support.

  • We were blessed to minister in 12 different states and B.C., Canada with a total of 49 different events!

Please pray with us for:

  • Good health and rest during the month of January

  • A good spring semester

  • Ministry support level to increase

As we close this update:

We are so grateful for your love, support and faithfulness. To God be the glory!
