Revive Your Bible Study This Christmas - Pt 1

This simple blog reveals the number one reason why you get nothing from the Bible.

In fact, when I reveal the number one reason why you get nothing from the Bible, you may take the “smack your forehead” 🤦🏻‍♂️ emoji and make it a literal action by smacking your own forehead.

I‘m actually curious if this number one reason is prevalent in your life, because it sure can be in mine.

So, why do WE get nothing from the Bible?

First, let me stress one purpose of God’s Word...

He wants to speak to YOU. Yes, you! He wants you waiting and longing to hear from Him. He desires to fill you with truth and wisdom. Truth and wisdom that’ll change everything about your life.
  • It‘ll save you for eternity through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • It’ll strengthen your daily walk with and faith in the God Who saved you!
  • It’ll make you a more effective witness for Him!

Simply restated, your God wants to speak to you, and He does this through His Word-the Bible!

Ok, I haven’t forgotten the point of this blog...

Here it is...

Are you ready?

(This really isn’t a waste of
time...just attempting to keep your attention for a second.)

The number one reason why you and I get nothing from the Bible is:

WE NEVER OPEN THE BIBLE UP!

You may thinking, “Thank you, Captain Obvious!” Or..

”What!? Why did I read all this to JUST get that silly little no brainer of a point?”

BECAUSE, my friend, that “silly little no brainer of a point” is what kept you from getting something out of the Bible yesterday, isn’t it?

The first Bible battle is the hardest battle in Bible Study-getting to the Bible and opening it up!

So here’s your challenge today. Get to the Bible and open it up! Don’t neglect the Book that God designed to speak through to you!

You’ll never get something from the Book until you get in the Book!

No Food Or Water Until...

  June 19th, 2025  (8:15pm Alaska Time) No food or water until tomorrow after surgery…the SURGERY is on! I arrive at the surgery center tomorrow at 11:45am Alaska time.  Some have said, “It’ll feel like someone hit you in the nose with a sledge hammer. But you’ll be so grateful after a few days to have had it done.” So in preparation for surgery, I had Rachel grab a sledge hammer and proceed to … no, no we didn’t prepare that way, but we have made other preparations physically, and I’m currently excited about tomorrow. (Ask me tomorrow night how excited I am about it.) 😉 Praise the Lord for the provisions to move forward with this surgery, and praise the Lord for everything coming together so quickly. We truly hope this cures whatever I’ve been facing…either way, it’s a good first step. 👍🏼 We are grateful for all the love, prayers and extra gifts.   Visit Our YouTube Channel Print This Update June 9th, 2025 A Heart For Revival’s Ministry Update Current Support Level: 44.6% We have placed two beautiful pictures of Alaska in this email.  A couple fun facts about our Alaska trip: our average day time temperature since our arrival has been 48 degrees. As of June 9th, sunrise is at 4:14am and sunset is at 11:37pm, but it never gets fully dark in-between those hours. TO EVERY THING THERE IS A SEASON Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Every thing has a season. Every thing has a purpose. Praise the Lord for His divine order in every thing. With that said, each of us gains a renewed trust and deeper faith in the goodness of God in every thing.
