Don't Forget To Marvel


 Christmas shouldn't pass by without you purposing to pause to MARVEL over the Saviour's birth!

The Old Testament in the Bible prophesied many times of the CHRIST coming as a child - born of a virgin - born of the Jews - born to die - born to set people free from their sins. Isaiah 9:6 (pictured above) is one of those verses.
Yet, some in Jesus' day missed the coming of the Messiah entirely! I wonder if we'll miss Christ at all this Christmas?
Fortunately, the Bible gives us a few accounts of people marveling over Jesus Christ to serve as reminders of how wonderful and awesome Jesus Christ was, is and always will be! (Listen to the sermon for more on that.)
Now, here's the definition of MARVEL:
To MARVEL is to admire, to wonder and to stand in awe of something.
The Shepherds, Mary and Joseph, Simeon, and Anna are just a few Bible characters who marveled at the Saviour on or shortly after the birth of Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:33 "And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him."
Jesus' family couldn't marvel in the accomplished works of Christ, but they could MARVEL in what would be accomplished by Jesus the Christ! This challenges us to MARVEL over Jesus even more, for we have more than what "would be"... we have what has been done. AND we know that with the accomplishment of what has been done, we trust in the future fulfillment of what will be done by Christ - and this brings us to an even greater MARVEL over the MASTER!
CHRIST is worthy of every bit of MARVELING we can bring before Him this Christmas.
I KNOW YOUR SCHEDULE WILL BE EXTREMELY BUSY THIS CHRISTMAS, BUT PLEASE MAKE TIME, PURPOSE TIME, and PAUSE IN TIME... PAUSE TO REMEMBER JESUS THIS CHRISTMAS - and MARVEL over the birth of Christ all over again!

No Food Or Water Until...

  June 19th, 2025  (8:15pm Alaska Time) No food or water until tomorrow after surgery…the SURGERY is on! I arrive at the surgery center tomorrow at 11:45am Alaska time.  Some have said, “It’ll feel like someone hit you in the nose with a sledge hammer. But you’ll be so grateful after a few days to have had it done.” So in preparation for surgery, I had Rachel grab a sledge hammer and proceed to … no, no we didn’t prepare that way, but we have made other preparations physically, and I’m currently excited about tomorrow. (Ask me tomorrow night how excited I am about it.) 😉 Praise the Lord for the provisions to move forward with this surgery, and praise the Lord for everything coming together so quickly. We truly hope this cures whatever I’ve been facing…either way, it’s a good first step. 👍🏼 We are grateful for all the love, prayers and extra gifts.   Visit Our YouTube Channel Print This Update June 9th, 2025 A Heart For Revival’s Ministry Update Current Support Level: 44.6% We have placed two beautiful pictures of Alaska in this email.  A couple fun facts about our Alaska trip: our average day time temperature since our arrival has been 48 degrees. As of June 9th, sunrise is at 4:14am and sunset is at 11:37pm, but it never gets fully dark in-between those hours. TO EVERY THING THERE IS A SEASON Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Every thing has a season. Every thing has a purpose. Praise the Lord for His divine order in every thing. With that said, each of us gains a renewed trust and deeper faith in the goodness of God in every thing.
