  Christmas Excitement Captured It’s Christmas! Are you excited? This picture captures one boy’s excitement over getting a present for Christmas!  The young man pictured is my nephew, Joshua. He is a very sweet boy with a very kind heart! For the most part, Joshua is very calm, but when anticipation builds within, it’s hard to contain the happiness that leads to an outward expression of JOY! Due to the advancements of technology, we are all able to catch such sweet moments like these this Christmas. Years from now (if the files remain accessible) we’ll be able to pull moments like these out to view and cherish them!   BEFORE REVELATION    BEFORE REVELATION Today, we are on the eve of celebrating one of the greatest revelations that ever happened on earth - the revealing of God in human flesh...we know His name to be JESUS CHRIST, or, EMMANUEL:  God with us ! Note the following verses: Matthew 1:23 " Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Introduction : Amazing, amen?! Now, let's consider three "before birth" truths about Mary and Joseph before baby Jesus was revealed.  I. There was obedience before revelation.   Christmas Celebration 2017 Today, was our Christmas Celebration Sunday, and we were greatly blessed with wonderful services! Thank you to every leader, helper, adult and child that made our Christmas Program entitled, “What If?,” so wonderful! You all did a fantastic job!   The Spiritual Change We Need We are in desperate need of a spiritual change...thankfully we have a God with open arms and a plan to come to Him!   Back To Church By Being The Church We have the privilege of getting Back to Being the Church for the glory of God! Let me recap a couple messages we recently heard on this most powerful topic.  Each of the messages began with a congregational reading from First Peter 4:17-18: "For the time  is come  that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if  it  first  begin  at us, what shall the end  be  of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" We brought on the point that if we are "scarcely saved" the "ungodly and the sinner" will appear in hell due to our lack of Gospel Spreading because we are too consumed with others things instead of godly things.   Trial By Fire We Have A God who CAN take us through a Trail by Fire for HIS Glory!
