It's Been A Week...

Recovery Update June 27th, 2025 This may be the last solely recovery update email. The next should be a ministry update. We’ll see. 🙂 It’s been a week since surgery. I can’t believe it. Two things to note since last update: 1) Recovery is going so much better than planned, and 2) Out of the thousands of deviated septums my doctor has performed surgery on, mine landed in the “severe” category.  On Tuesday, June 24th, I visited my doctor to have the nasal splints pulled out. They came out nicely and without pain. Instantly, the pressure was relieved - as you can imagine. Rachel has a pic of the splints that were up my nose (if you want to see them). I hear these splints are way better now than what they used to stick up your nose during surgery. 😅 After the splints were removed, the doctor brought the words I had been waiting to answer and experience, “Can you breathe now?” I replied, “Yes, to my left side, but No on my right side.” The right side was the original problem si...

Surgery and Recovery Update

Surgery Update  June 23rd, 2025 (Surgery took place on the 20th) I can really tell God is answering your prayers. Recovery is going well! Thank you! Here are the answers to some of the questions we’ve been receiving: Complications? Not really, but they didn’t expect my deviated septum to be as curved or as deep as it was. This led to more time in surgery to straighten and address blood loss therefore having to cauterize the area. Other than that, the procedure went smoothly. Rachel said the doctor was apparently impressed by all the goop that was coming out of my nasal cavity. He tried to capture it on his phone, but wasn’t able to capture it before it was gone in their machine (I’m guessing fancy surgical vacuum machine.) I had a great team of doctors. Thankful for them! My Daily Process? I have been getting lots of good sleep, and thankfully haven’t had any soreness to other parts of my body yet…which is a huge blessing. I take meds every four hours in order to fulfill my ...

No Food Or Water Until...

June 19th, 2025  (8:15pm Alaska Time) No food or water until tomorrow after surgery…the SURGERY is on! I arrive at the surgery center tomorrow at 11:45am Alaska time.  Some have said, “It’ll feel like someone hit you in the nose with a sledge hammer. But you’ll be so grateful after a few days to have had it done.” So in preparation for surgery, I had Rachel grab a sledge hammer and proceed to … no, no we didn’t prepare that way, but we have made other preparations physically, and I’m currently excited about tomorrow. (Ask me tomorrow night how excited I am about it.) 😉 Praise the Lord for the provisions to move forward with this surgery, and praise the Lord for everything coming together so quickly. We truly hope this cures whatever I’ve been facing…either way, it’s a good first step. 👍🏼 We are grateful for all the love, prayers and extra gifts. Each of you are a tremendous blessing during this unknown time.  Rachel will keep everyone up to date on the completio...

Visit Our YouTube Channel Print This Update June 9th, 2025 A Heart For Revival’s Ministry Update Current Support Level: 44.6% We have placed two beautiful pictures of Alaska in this email.  A couple fun facts about our Alaska trip: our average day time temperature since our arrival has been 48 degrees. As of June 9th, sunrise is at 4:14am and sunset is at 11:37pm, but it never gets fully dark in-between those hours. TO EVERY THING THERE IS A SEASON Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Every thing has a season. Every thing has a purpose. Praise the Lord for His divine order in every thing. With that said, each of us gains a renewed trust and deeper faith in the goodness of God in every thing. Let’s remember to praise Him today and always. OUR CURRENT SEASON Many of you already know that my (Justyn’s) current season is one of back and forth illnesses and many ministry cancelations. We suppose the root cause was mold...
