10 Prayer Requests For Crossroads Baptist Church
Have you ever wondered, "What can I pray for on behalf of my church family and Its outreaches?" As Pastor, I have received that question numerous times. Therefore, let me give you 10 things to pray for for the ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church with Scripture to back up why.
Before I give you the prayer requests, let's remember the three following truths about prayer:
- We will never see answers to prayer if we won't pray - James 4:2b "...ye have not, because ye ask not."
- We will never see answers to prayer if we won't pray according to God's will - James 4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your own lusts."
- We will never see answers to prayer if we won't pray in Jesus' Name - John 14:13-14 "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Now that we have established some brief prayer points, the 10 prayer requests for Crossroads Baptist Church are as follows (No specific order...typed as they were brought to mind):
I. Pray for Souls to be won to CHRIST, baptized and added to His church through Crossroads Baptist Church.
2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Acts 2:41 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."
II. Pray for physical healing to those who are ill at Crossroads Baptist Church
James 5:14 "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:"

Psalm 85:6 "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Habakkuk 3:2 O Lord , I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord , revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy."
V. Pray for the enemies, false accusers and despiteful users against Crossroads Baptist Church
Luke 6:27-28 "But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."
VI. Pray for each other's sanctification (drawing closer to God by moving further away from the old man for the glory of God) at Crossroads Baptist Church
1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;"
VII. Pray for the safe passage of God's servants at or through the ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church
Philemon 1:22 "But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you."
VIII. Pray for the free course of the Word of God at Crossroads Baptist Church
2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith."
IX. Pray for each other to possess the knowledge of God's will at Crossroads Baptist Church
Colossians 1:9 "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;"
X. Pray for others to be counted worthy of God's calling that Jesus Christ would be glorified through one another at Crossroads Baptist Church
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 "Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
Prayer is hard work. It takes dedication, but at the same time...it is so simple. As my good friend, Mike Ragland, has entitled his book on prayer, "Prayer: Just Do It!"... May we practice prayer today with a renewed desire to pursue our living, loving Lord in our walks with Him!
Blessed Beyond Measure,
