 THE JOY OF FACE TO FACE TIME

2 John 1:12 reminds us of the importance and joy of face to face time as the Scripture reads, “Having many things to write unto you, I would not write them with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.” 

It’s truly amazing to ponder the fulness of joy that is received by gathering together around the things of the Lord. We rejoice over where we have already been, and we look forward to where we are heading by the grace of God. Please continue to rejoice with us over all God is doing and what we believe He will do. We are trusting Him for great and mighty things! 


HIGHLIGHTS FROM JANUARY

  • We were blessed with wonderful events in Alaska! We had a great VBS and Sundays during our time in Alaska. We are thrilled over the excitement of God’s people for the work of the ministry and the Word of God!
  • We were blessed with 11 new events added to the calendar. 10 in 2023 and 1 in 2024.
  • We were blessed with professions of faith in Christ. (Glory to God and may their growth in Christ change the world.) 
  • We were blessed with 1 NEW supporter but lost 2 supporters. (Thank you to each of our supporters. We totally understand when a supporter needs to become inactive in their giving. Thank you for your generous giving over the months and years. Whether you are a current supporter or a past supporter, we appreciate your continued interest in A Heart For Revival Ministries.)
  • We were blessed with a couple weeks of rest and recovery. Rachel and Lydia enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with Rachel’s parents, and I received some R&R at home. I had BIG goals to accomplish when home, but God did not allow for that as I was down with super low energy for about two weeks. I praise the Lord I was home for my “down time.”

A LOOK AHEAD TO FEBRUARY AND MARCH

We continue with the same ministry philosophy for our calendar of events: "...if the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that" (James 4:15), and "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." (Proverbs 27:1).

With that restated and as we look ahead at our 2023 calendar, we are praying, preparing and rejoicing over a very busy schedule! You can always keep up to date with our calendar via our website.

In conclusion:

A Surprise Alaska Trip

A somewhat last minute trip to Alaska came up and we jumped on the opportunity. This whole trip was designed to surprise a youth pastor in Fairbanks, Alaska for faithfully serving for 20 years as a youth pastor. My girls couldn’t go due to how fast the trip and turn around times were, but it was a blessing to get to visit Alaska again so soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s purpose to delight in God and be a light for God in 2023. This newsletter is simple and to the point. We were blessed with 4 “NEW TO US" churches.  This means we had the tremendous blessing of continuing to build relationships by revisiting 30 churches. We want to express our gratitude for each new pastor and each reoccurring pastor that allowed us to visit their churches and minister to their church families. Thank you! These are people that I can't live without. I want to be a person that others can't live without, and the reason why God blesses other people.
