Worry

ATTACK ANXIETY

Check this out —> Worry is dealing with tomorrow’s problem on today’s pasture.

In short, tomorrow may be filled with worry and fear, but, today, God’s grace is so sufficient for tomorrow that He has given food through His Word to nourish and strength your faith!

I recently watched a video from the Middle East on shepherding. The man described how our lush pasture view of Psalm 23 is incorrect (though helpful at times). He revealed through camera the “green pastures” of Psam 23.

If you were to view what he showed me, you would see vast rocky hills as far as the eye could see...all brown...no green. But, then the camera would zoom in to rocky clumps slightly larger then our head, and around the rocky clumps would be small tufts of grass with only a few blades of middle eastern green grass on them.

These tufts of grass would form due to the dampness of evening air as the wind would blow across the rocky terrain. Eventually, the sheep would be led to these “green pastures” and move foot by foot to new tufts of grass...thus feeding on the “green pastures” of Psalm 23.

The instructor pointed out the words of one Rabbi: “WORRY IS DEALING WITH TOMORROW’S PROBLEMS ON TODAY’S PASTURE.” This is powerful, especially sense we just dealt with a message called, “Anxiety Attack.” Listen here —> ANXIETY ATTACK

As I wrap up this message in type, recall the words of Psalm 23:1-2: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

May you find rest from tomorrow’s worries by allowing the Shepherd to make you lie down in the “green pastures” of God's Word today!

Blessed beyond measure,
