Enter Into His Presence
Today...not yesterday.
Today...not tomorrow.
TODAY...we have the privilege of entering into the presence of God!
Yes, God is everywhere at all times, but just because He is everywhere around you - doesn't mean that you are entering into His presence and fellowshipping with Him. It's kind of like two people being in the same room. Just because they are in the same room it doesn't mean that they are purposing to talk with each other. One can pursue the other, but the other can reject the desire of the first.
David said in his 16th Psalm, "I have set the LORD always before me..." What a testimony!!! Can we say we are concerned about God "always" being set before us? Are we comfortable with that thought? Are there times we would rather not have God present with us because of a certain sin we enjoy that is grieving Him? Do we desire His presence? Are we doing anything about it? I encourage you to do so, for the results are wonderful...
David continues his 16th Psalm with the result of verse 8 found in verse 9, "Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh shall also rest in hope." O, what joy we miss; what bliss we dismiss, because we do not care into enter into God's presence. May we understand that our joy tanks need filled, and they will be truly filled with pure joy if we get to God's presence, and seek His face!
David ends his 16th Psalm pointing out the guidance, joy and pleasures that are "forever more" in God's presence. In essence, David is finishing off his 16th Psalm with the realization that he cannot afford to ever stop entering into the presence of God. David understood a great sweetness that one can only find if they pursue a personal relationship with God.
Will you purpose to enter into His presence TODAY?

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11
