Quitting Is NOT An Option

We miss out on so much when we decide to give up. Grant it, it’s easy to become exhausted, weary, and worn, but, oh, if we would just understand the rewards of finishing for the glory of God!
God, through the mouth piece of Paul, says in Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Proverbs 24:10 says, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
And Psalm 27:13 proclaims, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Not quitting requires an understanding of future reaping, great strength, and hope in the goodness of The Lord. Do you possess these three necessities Without them you’ll quit every time.
Decide to finish your course.
You know, we just dealt with how to not quit, but maybe we should address why quitting should NOT be an option. I want to address this by stating, “Remember why you started.”
Why did you start serving God? Maybe these refreshing reminders will stir the glory of those new beginning days in Christ, the days when the finish line seemed but a hop, skip, and a jump away. The days when serving was great and not grinding, wonderful and not weary, terrific and not tiresome. You were at the starting line for God, and you were ready to run with no hinderances, passion galore, and faith for the impossible. You possessed three things at the starting line that need to be stirred up in your mind today, and they are as follows:
1. You started running for the glory of God, and His glory alone!
2. You started running for the souls of men! You wanted to see men and women, boys and girls saved!
3. You started running out of a great love for The Lord!
Now, take these three truths (that are sometimes forgotten), re-establish them in your life today, and run on my friend!
Thanks for reading and heeding!
