A Note To Family And Friends • July 2016

 

Crossroads Family and Friends,
I praise the Lord for each one of you…you have truly made my birthday special. Words cannot express the gratitude that’s within, but I’ll give it a go…“THANK YOU!”
Pastoring a people has many ups and downs, many mountain tops and valleys, but, little displays of love, like the recent ones you have given, have added a little extra joy for the journey. I understand that Jesus is my everything, the sweetest Name I’ve ever known, the Lily of the valley, and my Strength and my Song, and I realize that even when the acts and words of kindness are NOT present, He is, and He brings joy unspeakable and full of glory!
With that said, let me attempt to describe how you have adorned the joy and excitement of present day pastoring: what cookie dough is to ice cream, what peanut butter is to chocolate, what meat is to pizza, what a grand slam is to a home run…you, friends, have knocked another year out of the park! I feel like the Apostle Paul around you, as it written in Acts 27:3, “…and Julius courteously entreated Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself.” 
Pastoring without people would be rather boring, and pastoring people who are faithful, loving and focused…WOW…how exciting! 
Until next time, I’m gearing up for the next battle, and walking toward another valley or maybe a tough climb to the mountain top, but, either way, it’s a joy to know we’re on the winning side together for God’s glory!

A Surprise Alaska Trip

A somewhat last minute trip to Alaska came up and we jumped on the opportunity. This whole trip was designed to surprise a youth pastor in Fairbanks, Alaska for faithfully serving for 20 years as a youth pastor. My girls couldn’t go due to how fast the trip and turn around times were, but it was a blessing to get to visit Alaska again so soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s purpose to delight in God and be a light for God in 2023. This newsletter is simple and to the point. We were blessed with 4 “NEW TO US" churches.  This means we had the tremendous blessing of continuing to build relationships by revisiting 30 churches. We want to express our gratitude for each new pastor and each reoccurring pastor that allowed us to visit their churches and minister to their church families. Thank you! An Audio Witness

  An Audio Witness Attention Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers of the Word! Start being an  audio witness  of what God has engraved within your heart! It's easy, and It doesn't take much time to establish. On average, I typically spend 1/2 an hour a day/6 days a week establishing my daily audio witness called  "The Preacher's Push."  This name was birthed in my mind and heart during evangelism. However, it's influence never came into full swing until this past year. The reason I am posting this blog is to simply show others (who have inquired) how I do what I do that they may establish a similar setup to "exhort one another daily" from the Word of God!
